When arriving to Finland

At the moment, foreign students can come to Finland to study. Finnish citizens are always entitled to return to Finland. Please always follow and obey official instructions and guidelines given by the authorities on how to to deal with corona virus related issues. In Finland the official national authority is the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL).


If you arrive in Finland from a travel restricted country, it is recommended you self-quarantine for 14 days. Finnish institute for health and welfare (THL) keeps a list of countries approved for travel to Finland. Please check the current situation on THL's pages before arriving.

Face-masks are recommended

Wearing a mask is recommended for passengers arriving in Finland from a risk area making their way from the place of arrival to quarantine. If you pass by Hoas office to pick up your keys, please wear a mask.

Living with roommates

You are allowed to stay at your Hoas apartment during your 14 day quarantine. Remember to wash your hands thoroughly and often, cough or sneeze to a tissue or your sleeve, keep safe distance to others and get yourself tested if you think you might have the virus. Always follow official recommations given by the Finnish health authority THL.

Talk with your roommates to organize daily living in the appartment during the quarantine.
