Tenant responsibility chart

The tenant is responsible for some of the maintenance work. The tenants responsibility chart will help you to determine whether the work should be done by you or Hoas. For example, changing light bulbs (also in household appliances), cleaning the drain trap and changing a blown fuse are normally tenant responsibilities. More information is available from Hoas maintenance services maintenance[at]hoas.fi. However, please note that as Hoas maintains a large number of properties, we may not always be able to instruct you individually on the specifics of the problem, so do remember that internet search engines can be very helpful in finding out for example the correct type of bulb needed.

Please bear in mind that you are responsible for the functioning of your own appliances, like ceiling lights or a washing machine you bought. If you submit a fault report which results in repair work, and it then turns out that the problem is with your appliance, you will have to pay for possible repairs.

The tenant will be charged for costs incurred by negligence, improper handling or lack of maintenance according to the tenant charge sheet. The costs in the chart are somewhat reduced, considering for example the age of the properties. In certain cases the tenant may be charged according to actual cost.
