A room in a shared apartment is a good option for a new student who is just starting out their studies. You can live in shared apartments for the entire time you study. Shared apartments are most affordable option of Hoas apartments. Communal living in shared apartments creates opportunities to meet new people.

In shared apartments, the student rents a private room within a shared apartment. Usually shared apartments are split between 2–4 persons. Each tenant has their own lockable room. The kitchen, toilet and bathroom are shared. Shared apartments are always single sex – that is, the apartment is rented to either all female or all male tenants.

The apartment is rented unfurnished, apart from a wardrobe in each room. There may also be other tenants' furniture in the common areas. There are refrigerator, freezer and stove in kitchen.
